DZ HYP published its sustainability report for 2022 today. In it, the bank comprehensively documents all important sustainability aspects, the central progress in 2022 and provides information on the goals of further sustainability development. DZ HYP used the past year to integrate sustainability even more into day-to-day business.

A key activity in this context was the issue of the first Green Mortgage Pfandbrief in February 2022. Another milestone was the “ESG Risks” project, which was set up and successfully completed in risk controlling. The bank has been assigned a rating by the international agency Morningstar Sustainalytics and received an ESG risk rating of 14.2 in February 2023. This means that DZ HYP's risk with regard to the material financial impact of ESG factors can be rated as low. In addition, DZ HYP once again received prime status from the ISS ESG rating agency as part of an updated assessment in the “Mortgage & Public Sector Finance” peer group. The bench was rated "C". This puts it above the industry average in terms of sustainability performance. The rating results serve DZ HYP as a compass for continuous improvement and targeted, sustainable orientation. The report also describes the Bank's involvement with the companies in the DZ BANK Group. Together they revised and approved the existing code of conduct last year. The “Human Rights” guideline, which was also drawn up in cooperation with the group companies, specifies the contents of the Code of Conduct on this topic.
