Sustainability Management
The Sustainability Officer and the Sustainability Manager act as central contacts. They drive the sustainable transformation process of the bank, coordinate internal sustainability activities and report regularly to the Executive Board. In addition, they also handle the operationalization of sustainability activities.
In addition, representatives of all companies in the DZ BANK Group work within a coordinated framework to bundle sustainability activities, exploit market opportunities, and avoid risks. One of many results of this cooperation is the Group-wide climate strategy.
Driving sustainability forward
In order to make an even greater contribution to sustainable development in the future and to consistently drive forward our activities, we have, among other things, developed a methodology for identifying sustainable real estate. It is based on a data field catalog that also takes into account current regulatory requirements. We have integrated these sustainability requirements into our new business process in the Corporate Customers business area, created the corresponding process structures and already classified a significant proportion of the portfolio. Furthermore, we will offer investors the opportunity to invest in DZ HYP's "Green Bonds" in the future.
With the help of the project, we have integrated the topic of sustainability even more strongly into the bank. We are now using the momentum to drive forward our sustainable development.
