Succesful refurbishment: New creative quarter KALLE in Berlin Neukölln

DZ HYP is taking over the long-term financing for the new KALLE quarter in Berlin's Neukölln district. The building, formerly used as a shopping center and parking garage, has been converted into a modern creative location by MREI GmbH. Under the name KALLE, it combines modern office space, event areas, a food market, and a start-up campus. The property has thus become a new center for technology, artificial intelligence, life sciences, art, and culture, and a prime example of successful portfolio development. 

Tenants include the renowned talent factory for digital product development CODE University of Applied Sciences and the music streaming provider SoundCloud. 

The total area of the property is around 38,500 square meters. LEED Gold certification is being sought for the sustainable conversion.
