DZ HYP issues five-year mortgage Pfandbrief Order
DZ HYP has taken advantage of the current constructive capital market environment and yesterday issued its fourth benchmark bond this year. With a maturity of five years, the shortest DZ HYP Hypothekenpfandbrief of the year was placed on the market in a volume of EUR 1 billion.

New DZ HYP report “The German Real Estate Market 2021/2022”
Maximum transparency on the real estate market is of great importance. DZ HYP contributes to this by regularly examining the locations where it is active. This year, the fourteenth edition of the present study focuses on real estate market developments concerning retail, office and commercial housing properties in Germany's top locations – namely, Hamburg, Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne, Frankfurt, Stuttgart and Munich.

DZ HYP publishes new Report ‚The German Pfandbrief Market 2021/2022‘
Over the course of the second year of the COVID-19 pandemic, developments on the Pfandbrief market have been fairly mixed. While the market has continued to grow, the number of large-volume new public issues has decreased markedly. This is due to loans being offered by the European Central Bank (ECB) at favourable terms, which is damp-ening primary market activity.

DZ HYP publishes half-yearly financial report 2021
The impact of the COVID-19 pandemic continued to leave its mark on social, political and economic life in Germany during the first half of 2021. The real estate markets developed more cautiously compared to the same period of the previous year, but remained robust overall, mainly due to positive development in the residential segment. In this environment, DZ HYP’s new business volume – totalling around €5.4 billion across all three business divisions – was up by approximately 38 per cent year-on-year.

DZ HYP issues third Mortgage Pfandbrief in 2021
DZ HYP yesterday issued its third mortgage Pfandbrief in 2021. The nine-year bond has a volume of EUR 750 million and carries a coupon of 0.01 percent. The rating agencies Moody's and S&P assign the Pfandbrief with a Aaa and AAA Rating, respectively. After the announcement of the bond the day before, order books opened on Thursday morning and met strong investor interest.

DZ HYP's latest sustainability report documents the breadth of the bank's economic, social and environmental progress in 2020. The report is published based on the standards of the Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) and is available for download in German and English.

DZ HYP Pfandbriefe rated by Moody's for the first time
In its announcement dated 16 June 2021, Moody's published covered bond ratings for DZ HYP's mortgage and public sector Pfandbriefe for the first time. Both Pfandbrief programs were rated Aaa.

DZ HYP celebrates its 100th anniversary
DZ HYP celebrated its 100th anniversary on 11 May 2021, with a ceremony in the Recital Hall of the Elbphilharmonie concert hall in Hamburg. Clients, business partners, long-time companions and the Bank's employees took part in the festivities – virtually. In addition to Uwe Fröhlich, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of DZ HYP, one of the speakers at the event was Dr Peter Tschentscher, the city’s First Mayor and Olaf Scholz.

DZ HYP publishes 2020 Annual Report
DZ HYP draws a positive conclusion from the extraordinary year under review. Whilst new business volume of €10.7 billion fell short of the previous year’s high level of €12.9 billion, it nonetheless exceeded the Bank’s expectations.

DZ HYP receives Moody's ratings for the first time
In its notice dated 16 February 2021, the rating agency Moody's published ratings for DZ HYP for the first time. The agency has assigned DZ HYP a long-term issuer rating of Aa1, with an outlook of negative.

DZ HYP holds prime status in ISS-ESG sustainability rating
The leading sustainability rating agency in the German-speaking region ISS-ESG (formerly oekom research), has once again awarded DZ HYP with the "Prime Status" in the comparison group "Financials/Mortgage & Public Sector Finance" for its sustainability efforts.
