DZ HYP publishes half-yearly financial report 2026

01.09.2026

The first half of 2026 was positive for DZ HYP. In a still-challenging market environment, the Bank originated new business of around €5.0 billion, increasing the volume of commitments compared with the corresponding prior-year period.

Lending volume in the Corporate Clients business was around €3.6 billion, remaining on a par with the very healthy level seen in the previous year. Business focus remained on the core market of Germany. Real estate lending in the segment Retail Customers was particularly encouraging, with financing volumes reaching €1.1 billion, up around 48 per cent year on year. In its business with public-sector clients, DZ HYP also succeeded in raising volumes compared with the first half of 2025 and generated new business of €318 million.

Net interest income of €362.0 million was slightly higher than the previous year’s figure, while operating profit amounted to €146.8 million. DZ HYP’s risk profile remained moderate, with no structural anomalies in the portfolio – this means that the Bank’s risk-averse approach and status as a Pfandbrief issuer continue to prove their worth. DZ HYP was also very successful in its funding activities: in addition to private placements, it issued three benchmark bonds on the capital markets, including a €1 billion Green Mortgage Pfandbrief.
