Dr. Georg Reutter is new vdp President

At the 17th Members’ Meeting of the Association of German Pfandbrief Banks (vdp) Dr. Georg Reutter, Chairman of the Board of Managing Directors of DZ HYP, was voted the new President of the vdp. Reutter takes over from Dr. Louis Hagen, who held that position for six years and did not stand again for re-election for age reasons.
“I would like to thank the members for the confidence placed in me and look forward to the task of vdp President,” said Reutter, who in keeping with the vdp’s Statutes was elected for two years until the next election of the vdp President in 2024. He has served on the vdp’s Board of Directors since 2012.
Following today’s election, Reutter thanked his predecessor and drew particular attention to his achievements. “Dr. Louis Hagen led the Association skillfully for six years. In dealings with policymakers and supervisory bodies he represented the Pfandbrief banks’ interests in an exemplary manner at all times. Moreover, the vdp gained new members in recent years under his leadership.”
